Such a mostly-great weekend!

Yesterday, garage sales and then more garage sales, along with some sun. A birthday party. And then a night at C's.

Today, lunch at a place called the Purple Penguin, where they had a playground and picnic tables that had all been once painted purple (though they could use much new paint). So cute!

We didn't get to the beach until rather later than we had intended to, but it worked out -- John let us stay out a bit later -- and we stayed until it got too cold. It had started to get cloudy and yucky-lookin', but then by the time we got to the beach, it was nearly cloudless again. Lovely, watching the waves crash in, blue sky, deeper blue water, few people, plenty of sand, and wonderful company...

And then my favorite pizza for dinner with John!
